They are meeting after 16 years. He is coming tonight on dinner. She seems to be so excited about his arrival. She is now recollecting all the memories once was her only reality. She lived in the world of love, faith and happiness. She is with the memory of her lovely moments made with him. She is making herself ready for him to see him in the present though she knows future holds nothing for both of them. Both of them had planned a lot for this.
She is sitting in front of a mirror. She sees herself from head to toe. Her colour of her hair is different than before not completely getting grey though and almost at the close phase of fading away. She then realized, she needs to visit parlor. But she is at wee hour. He is coming soon. She needs to prepare many things before he arrives. She opens the drawer, takes an eyeliner and applies on her eye lids. She can see clearly her wrinkles at the edge of her eyes. She knows, she is not going to apply so much make up. She still remembers, he hates make-up face. She chucks and fears if he notices her wrinkles. She picks up the lipstick but she doesn't apply it. She puts back in the drawer.
She thinks her make-up is complete looks her table clock. She awaits it to strike 6:oo pm. With tik-tok, as clock repeats its move, her heart beats grow faster than before. Her eyes are on the clock and her ears at door and faint smile on her lips. She doesn't have to cook much to make him happy. His few favorite food is laid on the table. She picks up a song by Philip Philips And it sings
"You would never sleep alone
I love you long after you're gone
And long after you're gone, gone, gone"
With these lines of the song ,she relives the past...
"Like a drum baby don't stop beating
Like a drum baby don't stop beating"... The song sings along
