Santosh Shah, a participant of Master chef, UK is shining bright. He is competing to be the best Master Chef. The competition looks tough yet he is setting a remarkable appearance as he enters the semi-final. He is 35 years old. Most of the Nepalese feel great about his presence at an international platform like Uk's MasterChef: The Professionals. Because he is the Nepali chef participating in the remarkable culinary show. He seems to be like going to be a key to take Nepali cuisine into an international arena in an interesting way. He says in an interview with The Kathmandu Post: "If I am not specifically required to experiment, I am planning to cook only Nepali ingredients for most of my dishes. MasterChef has a wide audience worldwide, and I am planning to make the best use of this exposure. Apart from the hopes of introducing Nepali cuisine to the global audience, I also hope to inspire young Nepali chefs to follow their dreams and to not give up."
He used to watch Master Chef and had learned strategies and skills to bring out the best in him. He is excited and feels that he is going to leave his mark on the show. That's why he is preparing, practicing, strategizing, and working day and night.
At the tender age of 14 he had to start off the cooking profession in India unlike his doctor and engineer friends in Karjanha, Siraha. He knew cooking is his passion when he got promoted to a Tandor commis chef from kitchen porter at a restaurant in Gujarat, India. Currently, he is working as a head chef of Cinnamon Collection.
