Is Your Priority just a Decorating Body?

Did you dream high?

Did you decorate the heart?

As you do with your outer part

You beautify something

Set your face erasing

Dull, dust bare layer

And you set a journey

To the world of artificiality

One layer after another

Chosen the best one to care

Your skin to glow and grow

You hold your head high

A face receives the best try

Decorate dull outer layer

Add as much as your skin can bare

Slow shadow of the soul was messed up

But you start the step for the make-up first

You apply moisture on your face

Get the world-class base

Hide acne and pores

Heartaches who cares!

Primarily a primer to start-off and set-up

Find a foundation of world-class

To stand out from the rest

You want to look  best

Clad a concealer to hide

What happens in the dark night

Standard and best brands

Start disconnection from dull dots

You don’t know or care

Outer is just a layer

Less than an inner core

Then you stretch your lips

Wait, is that a smile?

You continue with the lip balm

With the base alone on your face

it looks calm

Add more life to lifeless eye-lids

One after another grab a wrap

As a slow trap of eye shadow

To make is beautiful

To make it fanciful

You want it to speak on your behalf

Adding more life to it

But you seal your heart

Does your heart feel the same?

Graceful as you glow with the makeup on your face?

Does beauty on your face make you forget painful experience?

Now, mascara and gajal

To look as a living doll

You don’t need to speak

Your eyes know the trick

Your eyes look soulful

Mystical, magical, majestic, and colorful

Wow, how graceful!

You seek perfect cream

To match it with your skin

Do you decorate your dream?

As you do with your skin?

Oh ya! You forget or don’t care

The inner core is more than the outer layer

You add glitter on your skin

Forgetting to add hope and dream

Collecting then covering the scar and mask

While living in the dark

Hiding pain behind a beautiful mask

Knowing how to set a face

But not knowing how to face a race

Every day, until a day

When your hallow heart haunts you

When your mind can’t mend you

Then you sit to think with the temporary emotion

You forget all the obligation and deny any association

To end all the affiliation

You crawl slowly in a never-ending journey

When waiting a bit you can fly high

You long to hold the sky

None of us will ever know why

You can’t wait to let your soul fly

Think before its too late

Nourishing the inner self should be the priority

Than decorating your outer body.

( I am triggered by the suicide rate around the world. There are many cases that have resulted in increasing suicidal cases among women around the world. The poetic persona urges that decorating the inner self is as important as decorating the outer self. )
