Chhetan Gurung has passed away at the age of 42

 


 

Film writer and director Chetan Gurung has passed away. Gurung died at Meto Hospital in Maharajgunj at around 2 am on Wednesday. Gurung, who was born on January 7, 2035 BS, died at the young age of 42. Gurung was admitted to the hospital on Monday after falling ill.

He started his career in 2014 with November Rain as a script, story, and dialogue writer. He will be recalled for his movies like Classic (2016), Diary (2017), Damruko Dandibio (2018), and A Mero Hajur 3 (2019). He directed Damruko Dandibio. The movie
got him two awards, the Outstanding New Director award at the 2076 Kamana Film Awards and the Jury Award at the 2076 De Cine Awards. Another film written and directed by Gurung, Prem Geet 3, which was about to release before the Corona Virus Outbreak. Lately, Chetan has been busy writing a film called Hututu with the team of Prem Geet 3. The film written and directed by Gurung, Prem Geet 3, is yet to release.

 

Lately, Chetan has been busy writing a film called Hututu with the team of Prem Geet 3.Gurung was able to establish himself as the best writer from hisdebut film November Rain. He also won the Best Writer Award at the 2071 NFDC National Film Awards for November Rain. He also won the Best Writer Award at the 2071 NFDCHe had a mother and a daughter. They had been living in Swayambu, Kathmandu.
