Sample:

Social and cultural change is a continuous process in every society. To understand these changes, I interviewed five people from my family and relatives. The participants were between 25 and 65 years old. I asked them about changes they had observed in family life, education, technology, traditions, gender roles, and lifestyle.

Mr. Ram, my father (55 years old), said that families were generally larger in the past. He explained that grandparents, parents, and children often lived together. According to him, nuclear families have become more common because young people move to cities and other countries for education and employment.

Mrs. Sita, my mother (50 years old), said that women's roles have changed significantly. She explained that women in her generation had fewer opportunities for education and employment. Today, women are more involved in education, professional work, and family decision-making.

Mr. Hari, my uncle (62 years old), highlighted changes in technology and communication. He said that people in the past depended on letters and face-to-face communication, whereas people today use mobile phones, social media, and the internet. He believes communication has become faster but face-to-face interaction has decreased.

Ms. Mina, my sister (28 years old), said that young people are more open to different cultures and lifestyles. She explained that social media, education, and globalization have influenced young people's clothing, food, language, entertainment, and social behavior.

Mr. Raj, my cousin (22 years old), emphasized changes in education and career choices. He said that young people today have more opportunities to study different subjects and choose careers according to their interests. He also mentioned that migration has become a common part of young people's career planning.

Conclusion

The five interviews show that society has experienced significant social and cultural changes. Family structures, gender roles, communication, education, and lifestyles have changed because of technology, education, urbanization, migration, and globalization. These changes have created new opportunities and greater freedom, although they may also weaken some traditional practices and face-to-face relationships.

Overall, the interviews helped me understand that social and cultural change is a continuous process and that different generations experience and interpret these changes differently.
